The Wellness Subsidy is an initiative that is part of the Global ‘Be Healthy’ Program that aims to cultivate a corporate culture focused on wellness, encouraging employees to focus on their personal health by monetarily subsidizing certain initiatives related to wellness.
The Wellness Subsidy is available to all active Regular Full-time, Regular Part-time employees, and Long-Term Contract employees Boehringer Ingelheim (Canada) Ltd./Ltée and Boehringer Ingelheim Animal Health Canada Inc. who participate in eligible wellness and fitness-related activities and/or who acquire eligible equipment for their own personal use.
To leverage the Wellness Subsidy, complete and submit the online Wellness Subsidy Form on this landing page with acceptable receipts before 5pm of Feb 1st of the following year. Please ensure all receipts for the calendar year are submitted together.
The wellness subsidy will apply to eligible expenses for a maximum total reimbursement per person of $400.00 (minus applicable taxes) per calendar year. Unused yearly maximum subsidy amounts from a current year cannot be carried over to the following year.
The Human Resources Department will process approved wellness subsidies two to three pay periods from the date the Wellness Subsidy Form and acceptable receipts are received.
